La Rochelle Cattery is an indoor cattery and the natural choice for animal lovers seeking a quality cat boarding facility in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, including Durbanville. Our aim is to ensure your cat has a relaxing and enjoyable stay with us, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re on holiday.
We offer 7 suites, each thoughtfully equipped with a scratching pole, sandbox, hanging mat, and a cozy bed. Two suites are designed for single cats, while four suites accommodate pairs of cats. For larger families or longer stays, a separate room is available for three or more cats, providing ample space and comfort.
To ensure the comfort of our guests, room temperatures are carefully regulated — keeping the suites warm and cozy in winter and cool during summer. Large panoramic windows allow your cat to relax and watch the world go by when they’re not playing or exercising.

For families with three or more cats, we offer a large separate room to ensure plenty of room for all.
Fully Equipped: Every suite comes with essential comforts tailored for feline happiness — including a scratching pole to satisfy natural instincts, a sandbox for privacy and hygiene, a hanging mat for lounging, and a soft bed for restful naps.
Panoramic Windows: Large windows let in natural light and offer an engaging view of the outdoors, so your cat can watch birds, and the neighborhood, providing mental stimulation and reducing stress.
Climate-Controlled Comfort: We carefully regulate the temperature within each suite, ensuring a cozy warmth during chilly winters and refreshing coolness through hot summers — creating the perfect retreat no matter the season.

Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit of the total amount due is required to secure your booking. Without this deposit, bookings cannot be guaranteed.

What vaccinations does my cat need before boarding?
To ensure the health and safety of all resident cats, vaccinations must be up to date at least two weeks prior to arrival. We recommend that cats receive their yearly booster vaccination to maintain optimum protection.
Proof of current vaccinations must be provided at least two weeks before admission to secure your cat’s booking.
Does my cat need flea and tick prevention before boarding?
Yes. All cats must be up to date with a registered flea and tick preventative before arrival. If your cat is not protected against fleas, we will administer treatment upon admission, and this will be charged to the owner.
How do you handle medication and medical issues during boarding?
If your cat requires medication, we will administer it as long as the cat accepts it without resistance.
In the unfortunate event that a guest becomes ill during their stay, we have access to 24-hour veterinary services to ensure prompt and professional care. Please inform us at arrival about any ongoing treatments or known medical conditions your cat has.
Should I provide my cat’s food and feeding instructions?
Yes, owners are required to provide their cat’s preferred food and treats to maintain their regular diet. Please also provide clear feeding instructions to ensure your cat’s needs are properly met during their stay.
Can I bring my cat’s own bedding and toys?
We provide comfortable bedding for all our guests, but you’re welcome to bring your cat’s own bedding and toys from home. Familiar items and scents can help your cat feel more relaxed and at ease during their stay.
